Safari Park FREE Animal Exhibit

San Diego Zoo's Safari Park animal trainers will bring in three to four wild animals and talk about each one's life and habits. This is a special opportunity to view a wild animal up close!

A two-part program for driver training designed specifically to help mature drivers refresh and maintain their driving skills. The material covers the effects of medication and aging on driving; updated driving rules legislation; license renewal; local traffic hazards and adverse road conditions; and collision prevention measures. Also covers mechanical and car issues including ABS braking, front wheel drive, air bags, info about newer vehicles, and more. Sign up at our reception desk or call us at 858-748-6094.



Community Flu Shot Clinic

Palomar Pomerado Health (PPH) nurse Luanne Arangio-Law will provide the inactivated influenza vaccine injection to persons 18 and older. PPH will bill Medicare for patients with straight Medicare, Medicare with supplement, or Tricare for Life. Participants must bring their Medicare card to the flu clinic.

Community Park Upgrades

 

As many of you may have heard, the City of Poway is considering rebuilding the buildings in Community Park, including the Weingart Building where the Poway Senior Center is located.  To keep yourself updated, please check the City of Poway website at poway.org for any future meetings and/or workshops.
